Empress Hotel is pet-friendly! All pets require a fee of $35 / per night. Maximum weight is 50 pounds. With our popular Packages, your furry friend will receive a baggie of dog treats and a comfy bed for the night.

How far is the hotel from the San Diego Zoo and Seaworld?

SeaWorld is about 8 miles from Empress Hotel (a 20-minute drive) and the San Diego Zoo is about 18 miles (a 30-minute drive). We’re located just north of San Diego proper in charming La Jolla, which is known for its white-sand coves, clifftop village, and stunning coastal scenery.

Our restaurant Manhattan of La Jolla is located on the lobby level of Empress Hotel. Diners enjoy fine Italian cuisine with a New York twist in an elegant atmosphere, plus weekday happy hours and live jazz on the weekends. Manhattan is open nightly for dinner.
