Is there a deposit?

Yes, the hotel requires a security deposit of $50 per night to cover incidentals. The amount will be reversed upon check-out as long as the room is undamaged.

Does the hotel have parking?

Self-parking is available at the parking structure located directly across from the hotel. Hotel guests enjoy a special rate of $25 for 24 hours, which includes in-and-out privileges. For further information or assistance, please contact the Front Desk at telephone number 858.454.3001.

Do you offer smoking rooms?

The Empress Hotel is a 100% smoke-free property. This applies to all public spaces, meeting spaces, guest rooms, and outdoor garden terrace. Any smoking-related damages will result in a $500 cleanup fee.

Is the hotel pet-friendly?

Empress Hotel is pet-friendly! The pet fee is $35 per night, per dog, with a maximum of two dogs per room. The maximum weight per dog is 50 pounds. With our popular packages, your furry friend will recieve a baggie of dog treats and a comfy bed for the night.

How far is the hotel from the San Diego Zoo and Seaworld?

SeaWorld is about 8 miles from Empress Hotel (a 20-minute drive) and the San Diego Zoo is about 18 miles (a 30-minute drive). We’re located just north of San Diego proper in charming La Jolla, which is known for its white-sand coves, clifftop village, and stunning coastal scenery.

Does the hotel have a restaurant?

Our restaurant Manhattan of La Jolla is located on the lobby level of Empress Hotel. Diners enjoy fine Italian cuisine with a New York twist in an elegant atmosphere, plus weekday happy hours and live jazz on the weekends. Manhattan is open nightly for dinner.
