UCSD Students & Alumni Only
This all-day music festival at RIMAC Field at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) is one of the hottest tickets in town. In fact, this year they’re even harder to get your hands on, as admission wristbands to the Sun God Festival are limited to UCSD students and alumni. In the past, visitor passes were also available, but these passes are no longer available. Held after midterms on the 7th Friday of every spring quarter, what makes the event one of the most popular San Diego concerts year after year is the vast selection of marquee performers across multiple stages. There’s also a Battle of the Bands for local groups to compete in front of a crowd of more than 20,000 screaming fans, a festive fair with Midway games, various vendors, and a DJ Battle.
World-Famous Past Performers
Over the years, some of the most popular musical acts in the world have graced the stages of the Sun God Festival. While this year’s line-up has yet to be announced, past performers include Drake, Jimmy Eat World, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Religion, and Iron & Wine.
How to Get In
Admission is limited to UCSD students and alumni, with wristbands distributed on a first-come first-served basis on Thursday, May 15th.
