The Spring EGGStravaganza will feature a kid exclusive underwater egg hunt, animal eggs display, arts and craft sessions for creating a shark egg watercraft, and discovery of sea planktons. Come celebrate this eggstra-special time of the year with family and friends from April 18 through April 20 at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps – a public exploration facility for the world-famous Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Located on a bluff overlooking the scenic Pacific Ocean, The Birch Aquarium at Scripps is a renowned discovery center and oceanic museum dedicated to the education of ocean science through creative exhibits, activities, lectures and programs designed to help visitors to make science applicable to their daily lives. The aquarium features over 60 fish habitats and cold water invertebrates from Pacific Northwest to the warm waters of Mexico. The museum showcases discoveries by Scripps scientists on ocean science, earth, and climate, and includes over 60 interactive elements. The primary mission of the Aquarium is to provide people with education, interpret the research from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and promote ocean conservation.
