Art and Wine Festival - La Jolla
To celebrate La Jolla’s long history as a vital arts center, community groups have created one of the top fall events on the West Coast. Come to this stunning coastal city to browse award-winning art, enjoy roving entertainment, and sip wine from renowned vineyards. This fifth annual celebration will feature over 150 local artists from as far away as Orange County and Baja showing off their best works and competing in a juried competition. There will be a silent auction for those who want to come home with something special, and all the proceeds go to the support local public schools. And don’t miss the fantastic wine and beer garden, one of the main attractions of this two-day festival. San Diego’s top microbreweries and the state’s famous wineries will be on hand to share their favorite beverages and boost the spirits of attendees.

Families can take a break in the arts center where kids can join in the fun by making crafts and their very own art projects. Foodies will love the Gourmet Marketplace that will be showcasing the region’s best culinary creations. Everything from baked goods and fresh produce to specialty food products will be available for purchase. All the fun takes place on Girard Avenue in the heart of the Village. The street will be completely shut down so participants can stroll through the booths and entertainment at their leisure as they bask in the beautiful Southern California sunshine. The festival takes place on October 12 and 13. Admission is free, but donations are also welcome.
