Horse lovers and equestrian sports aficionados rejoice! The 69th Annual Del Mar Horse Show is back in town and better than ever this spring. Visitors of all ages can enjoy a variety of fabulous equestrian competitions, family events and showcases during the popular and prestigious three-week-long extravaganza that celebrates the art and beauty of horsemanship. The show attracts more than 1,500 horses and riders, with events ranging from choreographed dressage shows to comedy acts and exciting prize events.
Western Week kicks off the Del Mar Horse Show from April 17th-20th with fun events like the exciting Night of the Horse, where visitors will see exciting joust tournaments, shooting exhibitions, jumping shows, and other family friendly entertainment.
Dressage Week runs from April 24th-27th and features a variety of adult and youth championship riding events and culminates in the majestic Evening of Freestyles competition that shows off the artistry, elegance and skills of World Champion and Olympic riders.
The Del Mar Horse Show ends with Hunter/Jumper Week from April 29th-May 4th. Visitors will get a thrill while watching skilled riders compete in exciting speed and agility contests, setting their sights on Grand Prix prizes of up to $100,000.
Admission for the Del Mar Horse Show is free on weekdays from 8am-4pm; $10 grandstand/$15 box seats per person on weeknights and weekend days; and $19 grandstand per person on Saturday nights.
