La Jolla Things to See and Do

  • San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration

    Located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, just north of La Jolla, you can start off the day at the Fair with a patriotic opening ceremony at 9:30 AM, then enjoy the Hometown Heroes Parade at 7:00 PM, a concert provided by the Navy Band Southwest followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
  • La Jolla Festival of the Arts

    Enjoy the experiece at the 2014 La Jolla Festival of the Arts June 21-22 from 10am - 5pm! Meet nearly 200 artists in an intimate setting of original fine art, entertainment and delicious cuisines, complemented with fine wine and craft beer as you stroll the turf of UCSD Warren Field. This is not a street fair but an elegant and high quality showcase.

  • George's at the Cove

    Just a few minutes' walk from the Empress, George's at the Cove is the perfect place to dine on the 4th of July, or any day this summer. With amazing views of La Jolla Cove and a selection of delicious entrees and appetizers, this is not a restaurant to be missed while in La Jolla. 
  • Manhattan of La Jolla

    Located off the Empress Lobby, the Manhattan provides an intimate dining atmosphere with excellent service. After spending a summer's day at the beach or sight-seeing, retreat to our on-site restaurant for delectable cocktails and classic Italian dishes.
  • The Cottage

    With ample outdoor seating and refreshing salads and plates, the Cottage is one of the best La Jolla dining experiences for Lunch (breakfast and dinner too!). Enjoy a lemonade or a glass of wine with your meal in the La Jolla sunshine at this local favorite.
