La Jolla Sea Lions at the Childrens Pool

La Jolla Sea Lions

Likely the area's "smallest" beach, the La Jolla Children's Pool is one of the more unique and eclectic attractions around. Humans-families, surfers, and children, of course-aren't the only ones who enjoy the spot. Local seals sun themselves on and around the beach, which has filled in a bit since its creation in the 1930's. At times, hundreds nap on the warm sand, allowing for great photos.
