So Fine on Kline Fall FestivalNov. 9, 2013
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A New La Jolla Tradition Takes RootDo you love block parties? Just down the street from Empress Hotel in La Jolla, the first annual So Fine on Kline Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, November 9. Like the neighborhood celebrations of our childhood, Kline Street will be transformed into a family-friendly festival with music, food, and fun.
Entertainment will be groovy and jammin’ with live musical performances. Be sure to put on your dancing shoes for the sounds of the Saline Solutions, HoneyRock, Ali Burress, and Brad Perry. The Saline Solutions are a Pacific Beach, CA band playing original songs that have been compared to the sounds of Cream, the Velvet Underground, and the Raconteurs. HoneyRock plays awesome covers that you won’t want to miss like Adele’s “Rumor Has It” and Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Were Made for Walkin’”-you’ll be singing along for sure.
More Music and Fun for FallAli Burress is a San Diego teen sensation who sings, plays guitar, and writes songs. Her first album On My Own features the single “The Spider Song.” Brad Perry’s sound has been described as “Americana with soul.” It’ll have you tapping your toes with original songs like “I’m Your Superhero” and “In Jamaica.”
In addition to musical entertainment, the So Fine on Kline Fall Festival will feature two contests of the food consumption variety -a pie-eating contest and a pie-eating contest. Be prepared to see contestants stuff their faces! Bring your own hearty appetite because food will be for sale. Kids will have a blast in the Fun Zone, and there will be arts and crafts on hand. There will also be a beer garden courtesy of La Jolla Brewing Company, plus raffle prizes.
