La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

Mark your calendar for October 11 & 12, 2014. Those are the days that the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival will be rocking the tiny village of La Jolla, CA just north of San Diego. You'll be treated to stunning paintings, a wine and beer garden, and a multitude of kid-friendly activities. There will also be a silent auction to raise much-needed funds for La Jolla Elementary.

Green Flash Concert Series

Outdoor concerts are common during the summer, but the Green Flash Concert Series is uncommonly good. Come by Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego on Wednesday. August 20, 2014 at 6:45 p.m., and you'll see two very fine singer/songwriters, Marc Broussard and Tyrone Wells, perform against the beautiful backdrop of the mighty Pacific Ocean.
